About This Oil

Organic Prickly Pear Seed Oil is cold-pressed from the tiny seeds of the Opuntia ficus-indica cactus — a striking, paddle-leafed cactus native to Mexico, India  and now widely cultivated across North Africa, particularly Morocco. It is one of the rarest cold-pressed plant oils in the world: each individual prickly pear fruit contains only a small number of seeds, and it takes approximately one tonne of prickly pear fruit to produce a single litre of seed oil — making it one of the most precious ingredients in natural skincare.

Texture & Feel

Prickly Pear Seed Oil has an exceptionally light, dry texture — one of the lightest of all face oils. It absorbs rapidly into skin, leaving absolutely no greasy residue, and has a beautiful clear golden colour and a very mild, fresh green aroma.

Skin Care

Apply 2–3 drops to clean skin and gently massage until absorbed, or blend into your regular moisturiser. Prickly Pear Seed Oil is particularly popular in facial oil formulations for its exceptionally dry, non-occlusive texture and its beautiful golden colour — a natural indicator of its rich concentration of vitamin E and beta-carotene.

Blending

Blends seamlessly with tamanu oil, rosehip seed oil, marula oil, and rose otto or neroli essential oil for a luxuriously aromatic, lightweight facial oil.

Hair Care

A few drops blended through dry or damp hair give a beautiful, glossy finish and a fresh aromatic experience.

How to Use

• Face: 2–3 drops to clean skin, alone or blended with rosehip or marula.
• Hair: A few drops through dry or damp ends for shine and condition.
• Blend: Combine with tamanu or rosehip for a custom lightweight facial oil.
